A note from Mike Pears: I am sure that you will want to join me in congratulating Dr David McMillan on successfully defending his doctoral thesis on Tuesday 11 June at VU Amsterdam. David did outstandingly well receiving his doctorate cum Laude. The McMillan family, IBTSC staff and David’s supervisors had a great time celebrating the awarding of this very significant and well deserved distinction. David has played a key role in enabling the move of IBTSC from Prague to Amsterdam and the considerable investment of time and effort had involved a delay in completion of his thesis. This milestone therefore comes not only with our congratulations but also with our thanks and appreciation for the considerable achievements on behalf of IBTSC through this time.
David’s dissertation is entitled Convictions, Conflict and Moral Reasoning. His supervisors were VU professor Dr Fernando Enns and IBTS Centre supervisors Parush Parushev and Lina Toth. The late Glen Stassen was also involved as a supervisor prior to the relocation to the VU Amsterdam and his death in 2014.
